April 9-13th is College and Career Week here at PVRS! All week long we will be talking about the choices you have after you graduate and we encourage you to explore options with your teachers. Along with that, we have some different events scheduled throughout the week:
Monday: College Fair Field Trip (juniors only)
Tuesday: Career Day Guest speakers at PVRS, grades 7-10.
Wednesday: Door decorating contest during Flex! Decorate your advisory door with the college or career of your groups' choice
Friday: Wear your College Gear! Student are encouraged to wear gear/colors of the college they would like to attend. Staff are encouraged to wear gear from their alma mater or their favorite college.
You're invited to take part in a super fun fund raiser for the PVRS band this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
It's an ESCAPE ROOM! What's an Escape Room?
It's an interactive game where teams try to beat the clock to solve puzzles, find clues, and escape in just 60 minutes. See a pretty neat video here!

Not only that but it brought tears in my eyes and I was filled with pride at seeing the amazing amount of people at the game supporting our team. The gym was packed with panther pride

Join the PVRS Sports Boosters and show off your knowledge of popular culture, current events, sports and history with our first annual trivia night!
Where: Montague Elks Club in Turners Falls, MA.
When: Saturday, Feb 10th 6-10pm
Sign up with your trivia team, that should include 8 to 10 people, and a team name. Entry charge is $10 per person and registration can occur through Eventbrite or by contacting the Sports Boosters at pvrssportsboosters@gmail.com.
The event will begin promptly at 6:30pm, so team members should arrive between 6pm and 6:30pm.
Proceeds will benefit the PVRS Sports Boosters in supporting our PVRS athletic teams.
Please feel free to bring your own snacks and a cash bar will be available.
2018 Schedule for Mid-year Exams, which are the week of January 22nd.
Tuesday is an adjusted schedule to accommodate the AA exam block, and the rest of the week is an 11:30 dismissal, with 2 exams each day!

Students are collecting donations for a variety of causes over the next several weeks. If you are able, please help our students reach their goals of supporting those in need during this holiday season.
**For the next two weeks the class of 2020 (10th graders) will be collecting donations for their care package community service project. They are collecting necessities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, tissues, soap, etc. There will be bins in Mr. Kiriakopoulos's room!
**The indoor track team will be collecting warm clothing for the Franklin County Recovery Center. A collection box will be available at PVRS.
**The French Club is hosting a clothing drive to benefit The New England Learning Center for Women in Transition (NELCWIT). They are primarily looking for clothing suitable for women or children.

The Academic Excellence Parent Working Group at the Pioneer Valley Regional School invites you to attend a COMMUNITY FORUM to discuss possible changes to the graduation requirements at Pioneer.
We will share information about our goals for college and career readiness and data on Pioneer’s current strengths and opportunities for growth.
A strong school system is a magnet for new residents and businesses. We want our schools to be the best in the region. Come learn about the committee’s proposals to raise expectations and improve outcomes at PVRS.
The COMMUNITY FORUMS will be held in each town. You can attend in any of the towns.
