"My student's meeting link does not work."

Make sure they have enrolled (joined) the course in Google Classroom. Also, check the time to make sure the meeting has actually started.

"Can you email my student the link for today’s meet?"

Meet links can always be found in the Google Classroom header for each class.

"I can't hear any sounds."

Sometimes users accidentally mute their sound. To check for this try:

    • Pressing the volume up button on the keyboard. (Pictured to the right).

    • Also notice you have volume down, and Mute. Be aware that sometimes these buttons are pressed by mistake.

"My microphone is not working." "My camera is not working."

Change a site's camera & microphone permissions:

  1. Open Chrome .

  2. At the top right, click More Settings.

  3. Under "Privacy and security," click Site settings.

  4. Click Camera or Microphone.

    • Turn on or off Ask before accessing.

    • Review your blocked and allowed sites.

    • To remove an existing exception or permission: To the right of the site, click Delete .

    • To allow a site that you already blocked: Under "Blocked," select the site's name and change the camera or microphone permission to "Allow."

When you first access a service that requires a microphone, (Talk & Type), a white box panel that will appear at the top left that will give permission for the service to access your microphone. If you don't do that, log out of the Chromebook, log back in, and try again.

If that doesn't work, reset the Chrome settings to default.

  1. On your Chromebook, open Chrome browser.

  2. At the top right, click More -->Settings.

  3. At the bottom, click Advanced.

  4. Under "Reset Settings," click Restore settings to their original defaults Reset Settings.

If neither of these solutions work, please let your teacher know!
